Fresh Vegetables

The vegetable gardens have been set up outside the Level 3 classrooms. This is a whole school initiative and came about as a positive result of a grant application. The beds are being manned at the moment by Level 2 and 3 however in the future other levels may be responsible for them. We look forward to eating the fruits of our labours. Watch this space for future developments.

animated-dancing-image-0419The students in Years 3/4 learned three dance routines in Term Three and did a fabulous job performing the dances to some fun contemporary songs. They were able to describe the challenges of learning new moves such as understanding more about body awareness, personal space, time, focus and energy required. As well as imitating moves, the students were given opportunities to create their own dance movements and did so very successfully in small groups. Time was also spent reflecting on their efforts and how they might improve a dance sequence using a variety of moves to create more visual interest for an audience. It was a really fun and productive term.
